The antecedents of political Leaders and rate them in our mental score cards, just as this work intends to do with Hon. Ben Rollands Igbakpa antecedents.
He has become the master of his image power enhanced and character seems larger than life, he has learn and applied the laws of courtship. Hon. Ben is one politician who knows and relates with everyone in the street.
This is an attitude inherent in him and not staged. This very attitude, has constantly endeared so many followers to him whose lives are been meaningfully impacted.
Hon. Ben Igbakpa 
The Igbakpa legacy, however, outlive his liberation activism, to his name stand external edifices in infrastructure. These include the text which one can safely insert ones own lines, Hon. Ben Igbakpa, did not only keyed into the human capital development of Chief James Onanefe Ibori, but also his infrastructural development agenda as will be seen.
In order to key into the 2015 Millennium Development Goals on Education, He distributed customized note books to all the Government' owned Secondary Schools in Ethiope West local government, including the award of scholarships to the best three students in each of the Secondary Schools.
Hon. Ben Igbakpa introduced a skill acquisition scheme across the three kingdoms in Ethiope West Local Government Area where youths are trained in the following areas; Welding and fabrication, Fashion and Designing, Catering services, Beautification/ Hair dressing and Computer and Information Technology.
As part of his contribution to Infrastructural development as a representative of Ethiope West constituency at the Delta State house of Assembly, he built the multi-purpose James Onanefe Ibori Civic Center in Oghara, the construction of a Police Post Ovade Oghara, Reactivation of Water-Board, Oghara, Solar Water Scheme Ijomi-Oghara, Establishment and Building of Merciful Orphanage Home Ogharefe, Solar Water Scheme-Ovade many more.
The establishment and construction of Primary Health Care Center Ijomi - Oghara, The supply of Medical equipments to Hospitals in Oghara, Jesse and Mosogar
The constructions of Abose Road, Ovade- Oghara, General hospital road Ogharefe, Chief Hope Ayibe road Edjemuoynvwe- Oghara, the Procurement and installation of transformer at Oku-Ode and Ajeketa-Ovade Oghara, Installation of Transformer at AT&P Quarters Otefe-Oghara.
Ben Rollands Igbakpa has always said and I quote ' Everything turns gray when I don't have at least one mark on the horizon. Life then seems empty and depressing. Without the interests of the people I represent, that will be me leading a desperate life full of boredom'
Hon. Igbakpa's performance as State constituency House representative and member State House Executive Council had touched the lives of people in all the crannies of Ethiope west local government of the Delta State.
He has proven him self not just as a member of the state executive council but as a legislator per excellence. Worthy of note is the fact that in spite of the one term arrangement in Ethiope West Constituency, he was able to touch lives in all areas of his constituency from the Idjerhe clean to the Oghara and Mosoga clean, his empowerment testimony lingers in the lips of many.
It is worthy to note that among the numerous bills sponsored and passed by him, the legislation behind the establishment of Delta State University Teaching hospital DELSUTH Oghara is one bill he will forever be remembered
For me, Igbakpa is a whizkid from the dust laden streets of Ovade - Oghara and had grown into a political Oak Tree, impossible to uproot because his tap root is rooted in the soil of Oghara land.
