OKOWA DESERVES SECOND TENURE ----- SAGBOJE

The Personal Assistant to the Commissioner For Environment, Delta state, Comrade Milton  Sagboje has said that the incumbent Governor of Delta state, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa deserves a second tenure of four years in office, judging by his meritorious performance within one and half year in office.

Comrade Sagboje made the statement in Asaba while fielding questions from journalists on political matters in the state and the country at large. He described Senator Okowa as one of the few existing experienced politicians in Delta State, adding that, the governor had brought his wealth of experience to bear in the governance of the state.

He explained that Governor Okowa's administration has turned the state around positively, having touched on lives across the state, he also noted that the governor had been able to pay worker's salaries regularly up to date, despite the current economy recession, pointing out that several projects has been commissioned many still undergoing constructions across the state.

On physical infrastructural development, Comrade Sagboje told journalist that Governor Okowa had approved more roads within Delta state.

Speaking on the way out of the current economy challenges, he urged Deltans to prioritize agriculture, in line with the Delta Beyond Oil mantra.

He emphatically commended the efforts of his boss, Cheif John O. Nani, for his contributions and achievements in environmental issues in Delta state and for his continuous support to the Smart Governor, and called for continuous  support to the state government, which he said will enable Senator Okowa to implement development plans in the pipeline of prosperity for all Deltans.
