The gory photographs below show some of the innocent people slain by suspected Islamic extremists in Southern Kaduna. They are widely believed to be Christians.
The genocide has generated a bad blood between the federal government and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) which had consistently tongue lashed each other over the killings.
CAN has declared Sunday, January 8, 2017 as a national day of mourning. All Christians in Nigeria and in diaspora are expected to be dressed in black attires and also pray fervently for God's grace on the brethren in the crisis ridden area of Kaduna State.
