INCREDIBLE! THIS FEDERAL CIVIL SERVANT CANNOT RECITE THE NATIONAL ANTHEM

IT was, indeed, a show of shame in a meeting of one of the Federal Government Agencies in Delta State as a staff of the agency (names withheld) woefully made failed attempts to recite the second stanza of Nigeria’s national anthem.

The head of the agency had, in a conventional manner, requested the female staff to recite the national anthem as an expression of hopes in the task of nation-building, after she failed to participate in the process at the time others did.

The agency headed, who coordinated the meeting that was largely attended by all staff in the agency, alleged that defaulting staff was distracted while the national anthem was ongoing, hence, she had to recite it all alone.Drama however engulfed the over populated venue of the meeting as the civil servant ingloriously mumbled different lines of the anthem to the wide amazement of her colleagues.

Disappointed at herself, she appealed to the head of the agency to pardon her inadequacy, but her plea was not granted. She was, nonetheless, allowed to write out the stanza and read it out for the entire house. Luckily for her, some of her colleagues were knowledgeable enough to assist her and save her of the festering shame.

Our correspondent reports that many Nigerians including graduates of tertiary institutions have also made woeful attempts at reciting the national anthem which most nursery and primary school pupils play with on a daily basis.

Well, if you think it's easy, why not give it a try now? Lolz
